Important Changes to IHOS Cloud Free Plan

Effective August 1, 2025

Dear IHOS Cloud Users

We are writing to inform you of significant changes to the IHOS Cloud Free Plan that will take effect on August 1, 2025. These changes are necessary to ensure the sustainability and high-quality service delivery for all our users.

Over the past months, we have experienced unprecedented growth in our user base, which has put considerable strain on our infrastructure resources. To maintain the quality of service that you expect and deserve, we must implement these important changes to our Free Plan offering.

Key Changes to the Free Plan

1. New User Server Creation Restrictions

Effective August 1, 2025: New users registering for IHOS Cloud will no longer be able to create servers on the Free Plan. New users will need to upgrade to a paid plan to access server creation capabilities.

2. Existing User Server Limitations

Existing Free Plan users will be limited to a maximum of 2 active servers. If you currently have more than 2 servers, you will need to either delete excess servers or upgrade to a paid plan.

3. Minecraft Server Restrictions

Minecraft servers will no longer be available on the Free Plan. All Minecraft server hosting will require a paid subscription to ensure adequate resources and performance.

4. Suspended Server Deletion Policy

Suspended servers on the Free Plan will be automatically deleted after 20 days of suspension (instead of the previous indefinite retention). This applies to all suspended servers, regardless of suspension reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are these changes necessary?

A: Our rapid growth has strained our infrastructure. These changes ensure we can continue providing reliable, high-quality service to all users while maintaining financial sustainability.

Q: Will my existing servers be deleted?

A: No, existing active servers will not be deleted. However, if you have more than 2 servers, you'll need to choose which ones to keep or upgrade to a paid plan.

Q: Can I still create a free account?

A: Yes, you can still create a free IHOS Cloud account, but you'll need a paid plan to create servers.

Q: What happens to my data if my server gets suspended?

A: You have 20 days to resolve the suspension. After that, the server and all its data will be permanently deleted. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups.
